AN R4!!!!!

Well Robert called me at work to say that on the Rumor Queen web site there was an R4 which means that there has been conformation that files have been sent out. There had been calls to people in Europe. S the big question is are they going to include the 28th of Feb in this batch? Then just after 1:00 he called again to say that we had received a letter from Sunrise,

CCAA Website and News

There have been changes on the CCAA website.
Files logged in to January 31, 2007 are in the
matching room and files logged in to January 25,
2006 have been matched.

We got this news on Friday. It is very exciting because we are next. Group 15 just got their proposals. Even though it is still a whole month and a bit that the CCAA has to go through until they get to ours we still feel that it is coming we hope by some miracle we will get to go before Christmas but we aren't holding out breath. Please send us your positive thoughts and send hurry up thoughts to the CCAA.

# 85 - Care Bears

Thank you goes out to my Aunt Dorothy (on my Dad's side). This is so cute we love all the little care bears on it and I am sure that it won't be long before Grace knows all their names.

# 79, 80, 81, 82, 83, 84 - From The Proudfeet.

The first piece is from Cherie (the colour blue and the fun dots are perfect), the second is from Robert (Australia all the way), next is from Adelaide (notice the 3 images as she is 3 right now), then we have Brennan's (he loves the beach) and Victoria's piece (it is soft and lovely just like her) and last we have a piece that Cherie gave us to represent the next Proudfeet's that arrive into our family ( the baby images are perfect). Thanks guys we love them all so much.

# 78 - Kate's Choice

This beautiful piece of material is from my friend and coworker Kate. I really love the pattern and the colours. Thank you so much for contributing to Graces quilt.

# 77 - For the Fishermen In Our Lives.

Well you guessed it. This is for Rob's Dad and my Dad, Rob, Jacob and Luke.
We needed this one don't you think?

# 76 - From Carlyle With Love.

My cousin Gail sugested that I get some Beatrix Potter fabric to represent Carlyle because my Gran and Popa were both from there. Thanks Gail for the sugestion we love this material.

# 73, 74 & 75 - Our Countries.

We wanted to get some material that represented our countries. So the first is very Canadian and especially west coast. The second is very Chinese both in colour and with the fortune cookies. We wanted the fortune cookies because it is our family tradition to buy a bag every time we go to China town. The third piece of material is very Australian with the kangaroos.
I hope that Grace will embrace all three of these place with as much love as what we do.

# 72 - In Memory Of My Popa That I Never Met.

This is for my Popa, (my Dad's Dad) he was in the Navy and died before I was born.
I wanted something to represent him.

A bear from Canada and a bear from China what more can we say.

# 66, 67, 68, 69 - A Sign Of The Times

We chose these four pieces to represent the "in" characters of 2008.

# 65 - In Memory of a Chocolate Lover

This is in memory of my Granddad (Mum's Dad). He had the worlds biggest sweet tooth. My Mum found this piece and we thought it was very appropriate. I have many memories of him licking the jam spoon or the ice cream scoop both at our house and at his.

Predictions For Our Referral

This is just a prediction I found on a web site that I was perusing. I also wanted to see how long a wait it would be for families that were just getting their log in date (LID).

Our prediction for LID 2006-02-28
China has 47 days of dossiers to be processed before they get to your dossier. China currently processes about 5.7 days of dossiers each month.
Our best guess: 2009-01-06
Since China generally sends out referrals in a batch about once per month, your referral date could easily vary +/- one month depending on whether you just get included or just get missed in a particular batch.

How CRAZY would this wait be?

Our prediction for LID 2008-05-16
China has 855 days of dossiers to be processed before they get to your dossier. China currently processes about 5.7 days of dossiers each month.
Our best guess: 2016-04-29
Since China generally sends out referrals in a batch about once per month, your referral date could easily vary +/- one month depending on whether you just get included or just get missed in a particular batch.

# 64 - In Memory Of Grandma

I wanted to include my grandparents so I chose this fabric because it really symbolizes
Grandma (my Mums Mum). She was always playing cards.
I remember her playing solitaire and clock patience.
I used to watch her play when she came to visit us.

# 61, 62, 63 - Hanna's Choice

# 60 - Shades Of Violet

One of my best friends Kim, gave us this fabric to put in the quilt.
I really love all the shades of purple. I love the feel of it too.
It will be so nice to have all the different textures in the blanket .
Thanks Kim.

# 59 - Memories Of Great Gran

I chose this material because it reminded me of my Granny. She really loved birds and
I made her a cross stitch with Chickadees on it when I was younger.
I thought it would be nice to have some more special memories added to the quilt.

# 58 - Hearts From England

This gorgeous material is form our friends Wendy, Mark, Barney and Sam.
We are so excited that they sent us this material all the way from England.
We miss you guys! Thanks so much we love the hearts.

# 53 - Currumbin Beach Fun

My Great Aunty Maree and Judy (Mums cousin) sent us this. We just got it in the mail yesterday. It is so bright and fun. Auntie Maree lives across the road from the beach and I have so many memories of visiting and walking over to the beach to play. We would also stay at Aunty Maree's house so we had lots of fun eating pikeletts too.

Thank you so much. We can't wait to bring Grace over to see you after China (we are saving like crazy).

The boys love to play ball with Reno when I go over to do everyone's hair.

# 48, 49, 50, 51 - Something Special

Thank you goes to Mrs. Darby (one of my clients) for these four cute designs.
She brought in a few pieces and we narrowed it down to these four.
She has made quilts in the past for some babies and had used these ones in making them.
